Donation to child development centre by Chicago Blackhawks Duncan Keith

PENTICTON – Penticton’s hockey hero is making a donation to improve lives of Penticton’s children.

The Okanagan SImilkameen Neurological Society announced today Duncan Keith’s charity, Keith Relief, is partnering with the neurological society in a three-year, two-faceted project.

The donation will see dedicated funds for neurological society families who are experiencing financial crisis in caring for their children, and the second facet will see an outdoor project built to enhance the facility in its support for kids.

Work is expected to begin shortly on a play court, with a ground breaking event scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m.

The Duncan Keith Adventure Playground will begin construction next spring, a project planned with physiotherapists and designed to provide new elements aimed at building strength, coordination and muscle tone.

Keith Relief was created in 2011, dedicated to alleviating the financial and emotional burden of families and individuals dealing with medical crisis.
