Interior Health closing Oliver hospital emergency department Sunday afternoon
OSOYOOS – A doctor shortage is resulting in a closure at South Okanagan General Hospital.
Interior Health says limited physician availability will result in the closure of the hospital’s emergency department on Sunday, Aug. 13 from 3 p.m. until the following morning, Monday, Aug. 14 at 8 a.m.
The emergency department will be open outside the above hours.
Residents are advised to call 911 in the event of an emergency. Those seeking medical attention can also call HealthLink BC at 811 if unsure about the need to go to emergency.
