KAMLOOPS – There were a few nervous people on Victoria Street this afternoon as a man banged on windows and attempted to rob someone outside the Royal Bank.
Several people called police shortly before 2 p.m. to tell them a man was downtown acting aggressively. Police ended the 23-year-old's rampage inside the Commodore Restaurant where he was threatening to use bear spray by zapping him with a conductive energy weapon. The man who is from Kamloops was then taken into custody.
Mounties are gathering evidence and talking to witnesses which could result in numerous charges.
