Truck completely submerged after embarrassing Kelowna boat launch fail

KELOWNA – A pickup truck became completely submerged somehow today during what should have been a routine boat launch.

Tara Blackburn posted the photos to her Facebook account late this afternoon.

They show a newer model silver Ford completely under water, trailer attached. The photos also show dozens of people gathered around the busy downtown launch as a tow truck driver pulls it from the lake.

The post does not say when the incident occurred but Kelowna resident Trent Shefsky says it happened between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. today, Aug. 11.
