Serious crash closes Highway 1 east of Savona

KAMLOOPS – A serious car accident has closed Highway 1 in both directions east of Savona.

Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Darren Michels says in a news release the closure is about one kilometre east of Savona and it will be closed until further notice.

Michels says there's a detour through the Village of Savona but motorists should expect delays.

Drivers are advised to use an alternate route around the area if possible.
