Extra maintenance needed to keep Penticton streets clean this summer
PENTICTON – A lack of rain has not helped in the efforts to keep the streets of Penticton clean.
Chief administrative officer Peter Weeber says dust and grime that habitually washes away with a summer rain has been lingering longer than usual in city streets this year because there hasn’t been any rain.
Weeber says contractors have been pressure washing high traffic areas around Penticton since Aug. 7
He says the cleaning work will continue through the rest of the month.
