Sad ending to missing West Kelowna teen case
WEST KELOWNA – After almost a month of being missing, the body of a 17-year-old West Kelowna man has been found.
Jake Fehr was last seen at his Chieftain Road home around midnight July 13. His family reported him missing and a media release with a photo and description was sent July 17.
On Aug. 12, shortly before 11 a.m. RCMP were called to a wooded area alongside MacDougall Creek in West Kelowna.
Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says the body has been positively identified as Fehr.
West Kelowna RCMP continue to assist the B.C. Coroners Service in their ongoing investigation into Fehr’s death, which is believed not to be suspicious in nature,” he says in a media release.
“We are profoundly saddened by this discovery, our deepest sympathy is extended to Jake’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
