Conservation officers near Elephant Hill wildfire rescue bear with head in plastic bucket

KAMLOOPS – Members of the B.C. Conservation Officer Service have been busy this summer assisting and supporting law enforcement operations in the fight against the wildfires raging across the B.C. Interior, but sometimes there are lighter moments.

Case in point, a photo posted to the Conservation Service's Facebook page this morning, Aug. 16, of a black bear with its head stuck in a plastic olive oil container.

Conservation officers were called by a rancher who found the bear stuck in the bucket near the Elephant Hill wildfire.

The officers were able to safely remove the container from the bear's head.
