The Kamloops Blazers defeated the Kelowna Rockets 5-4 in overtime Tuesday night in Kamloops to take a three games to nothing strangle-hold in the team's WHL Western Conference semi-final series.

JC Lipon scored the winner 3:43 into overtime, ending an entertaining, back and forth battle between the two WHL BC division rivals.

Rockets forward JT Barnett returned from injury to spark the Rockets, scoring twice as Kelowna held leads of 2-1 and 4-3 in a back and forth game that featured wild momentum swings and great play.

Ryan Olsen and Cole Martin also scored for Kelowna, while Jackson Whistle came in in relief of Jordon Cooke after the first period.

Dylan Willick scored twice for Kamloops while Brendan Ranford and Kale Kessy also scored for the Blazers.

Game four is set for Wednesday night at the Interior Savings Centre in Kamloops as the Rockets will try to force a fifth game in the series, which would be played Friday night in Kelowna.
