Stefan Frei to start in goal against Roma as Toronto FC gives everyone a runout
TORONTO – Look for Stefan Frei to start in goal for Toronto FC in Wednesday’s friendly against AS Roma.
Toronto manager Ryan Nelsen says he plans to give starter Joe Bendik the night off.
He also looks to empty his bench against the touring Italian side.
Roma won the first game of its North American tour, defeating the MLS all-stars 3-1 last week in Kansas City.
The Italian side wraps up its tour Sunday against Chelsea in Washington, D.C.
