PBS film ‘Latino Americans’ calls on Rita Moreno, Benjamin Bratt to explore topic

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – The producer of an ambitious documentary on the 500-year history of Latinos in America says the film is aimed at a broad audience.

“Latino Americans” producer Adriana Bosch says an effort was made to keep the project appealing to all viewers, whatever their ethnicity.

Including familiar faces such as Oscar-winning actress Rita Moreno and journalist Ray Suarez is part of that approach, Bosch told the Television Critics Association on Wednesday.

Actor Benjamin Bratt is the narrator. The three-part, six-hour documentary airs this fall on public TV stations.
