Osoyoos RCMP looking for thieves selling stolen cigarettes, lottery tickets
OSOYOOS – Osoyoos RCMP are seeking the public’s help to identify those responsible for a break and enter in the community earlier this week.
Osoyoos RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Jason Bayda says in a media release suspects stole cigarettes and lottery tickets during a break and enter at AG Foods in Osoyoos on Monday, Aug. 21.
Police are interested in hearing from anyone who has been approached to buy cigarettes or lottery tickets.
Lottery tickets are traceable and those found trying to cash winning tickets that have been stolen can expect to be charged with possession of stolen property, Bayda says.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Osoyoos RCMP at 250-495-7236 and quote file 2017-4675 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
