Pedestrian walking a bicycle hit by pickup in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS – A woman was sent to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a truck while crossing the street with her bicycle in Kamloops yesterday afternoon.
Officers responded to a collision between a pickup truck and a pedestrian around 4:30 p.m. yesterday, Aug. 25, on the North Shore, according to an RCMP media release.
Outside the North Shore Safeway on Fortune Drive, a silver pickup truck hit a woman as she was walking her bicycle across the street.
When officers arrived on scene they found a woman suffering from a leg injury and laceration, police say. The victim was transported to the Royal Inland Hospital where she is being treated for a broken ankle and other non-life threatening injuries.
Police say they have a limited description of the truck.
No word if the driver of the pickup is facing any charges.
