Illegal dentist may flee Metro Vancouver: court documents

VANCOUVER – Court documents show the illegally practising dentist identified last week by the College of Dental Surgeons may be trying to flee Vancouver.

In an affidavit filed Monday in B.C. Supreme Court, private investigator Michael Lantz says he tracked down Wu’s alleged vehicle at a transportation facility in Richmond, where it was being prepped for loading onto a flat-deck truck.

Lantz says he was first told the truck was destined for Toronto, but then was later told it would be shipped to China.

Lantz alleges the vehicle was full of clothes, suitcases and what appeared to be dental supplies.

Wu, who also goes by David, did not appear at a hearing on Monday, and a warrant has since been issued for his arrest.

None of the allegations in the court documents have been proven in court.

The college says it wants Wu apprehended and it has asked the court for the stiffest possible penalty, including the potential for jail time.
