Sun and heat in the Okanagan this week

OKANAGAN – The week is expected to be sunny and hot, according to the weather office. Temperatures are likely to remain around 30 Celsius.

Environment Canada is calling for a cloudless sky with sun and local smoke today, Aug 28. There is still a special air quality statement in effect for the Okanagan.

Temperatures tomorrow will be in the mid-30s. Forecasters are predicting a sunny day in Kelowna and Vernon with highs of about 34 C. The high in Penticton is expected to be 35 C.

Wednesday will remain hot and sunny in the Okanagan, with a high of 33 C.

Thursday and Friday are likely to bring slighly cooler temperatures in the high 20s.

Plan for the sun and heat to continue into the weekend as the forecast predicts temperatures to be around 30 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of 24 C and lows of 10 C.
