Short lived larceny on Lakeshore Drive in Penticton
PENTICTON – A suspect was arrested after a cash box snatch and grab at a Penticton business last week.
Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Andrew Baylis says police units flooded the Lakeshore Drive area around 8:45 p.m. Aug. 22 after a report of a man grabbing the cash box from a small retailer and then took off on foot.
Police were able to find and arrest the man, who was charged and released on a promise to appear.
The cashbox was returned to the business, Baylis says.
