Driver pulls knife during Penticton police check
PENTICTON – A police check at a Penticton gas station resulted in some anxious moments when the driver pulled a weapon on an officer.
RCMP Cpl. Andrew Baylis says the officer was pulled over a man at the Husky gas station on Skaha Lake Road on Aug. 24 and determined he was a prohibited driver.
The man pulled a knife on the officer, who was eventually able to convince the driver to drop the weapon, Baylis says.
The driver was arrested and faces charges of resisting arrest, obstruction and assault.
