Sunshine and hot temperatures in Kamloops this long weekend

KAMLOOPS – After a mix of sun and cloud today and tomorrow, it's sunshine and hot temperatures for Kamloops this long weekend.

Today, Aug. 31, Environment Canada is calling fora mix of sun and cloud with local smoke which is expected to stay until tomorrow. The high today is expected to reach 29 Celsius. Overnight the temperature is predicted to fall to 15 C. Because of wildfire smoke the special air quality statement continues for Kamloops and the South Thompson.

Tomorrow's forecast is a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 31 C and a low of 15 C.

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Environment Canada says it will be sunny with highs of 34 C each day and lows overnight of about 16 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of 25 C and lows of 11 C.

This August was hot with nine days in the mid-30s. The hottest temperature this month was 38.5 C.
