Skyler McKenzie leads Moose over AHL Senators 8-5

WINNIPEG – Skyler McKenzie struck twice and Marko Dano had a goal and two assists as the Manitoba Moose downed the Belleville Senators 8-5 on Thursday in American Hockey League play.

C.J. Suess, Adam Brubasher, Nicholas Jones, Jeff Malott and Kristian Reichel also scored to help the Moose (9-11-2) end a four-game skid.

Egor Sokolov scored twice for the Senators (7-11-0), who also got goals from Mattew Peca, Angus Crookshank and Joseph LaBate. Vitaly Abramov tacked on three helpers.

Cole Kehler stopped 8-of-10 shots in two periods of relief to get the win for Manitoba after Mikhail Berdin allowed three goals on 12 shots in the first.

Kevin Mandolese turned aside 41-of-48 shots for Belleville.
