Philpott Road wildfire evacuation order partially downgraded

KELOWNA – The Evacuation Order for the 465-hectare Philpott Road wildfire has been partially downgraded.

Some residents along Philpott Road will be able to return to their homes, according to a Central Okanagan Regional District release issued today, Sep. 3.

The Evacuation Order has been partially downgraded to an Evacuation Order for 11 properties from 480 to 1102 Philpott Road.

Seven properties from 1120 – 1495 Philpott Road are still on Evacuation Order and are unable to return at this time.

Also, 22 properties along Highway 33 East and Philpott Road remain on Evacuation Alert:

  • 10710 HWY 33 E
  • 10720 HWY 33 E
  • 10740 HWY 33 E
  • 10750 HWY 33 E
  • 10780 HWY 33 E
  • 310 – 391 Philpott Road

People under the Evacuation Alert should be prepared to leave on short notice if conditions change.
