Jury expected to begin deliberating case of Ohio mom accused in classroom brawl

CINCINNATI – A jury is expected to begin deliberating whether an Ohio woman helped her teenage daughter beat up a fellow student inside a high school classroom.

The prosecution in the misdemeanour assault and trespassing trial of Precious Allen is set to rest Friday, after which Allen is expected to take the witness stand in her own defence

Her attorney, Eric Deters, says that she’s the only witness he plans on calling.

The case will then be in the jurors’ hands; they could reach a decision as early as Friday.

Allen’s charges each carry a maximum of six months in jail. She has pleaded not guilty.

Allen maintains the girl started the fight, and had been bullying her daughter for some time.
