UPDATE: Man dead after single vehicle crash in Westsyde

KAMLOOPS – A 57-year-old man has died following a single vehicle crash at 6:45 a.m. near The Dunes golf course.

Westsyde Road was closed until about 7:45 a.m. at which point it was opened to single lane alternating traffic. Cpl. Cheryl Bush says motorists can expect delays and asks they avoid the area as police investigate the cause of the crash. 

RCMP originally said the lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to Royal Inland Hospital in critical condition but Bush has since said he died at the scene.
