Two escorts found dead in same apartment complex in separate incidents
VANCOUVER – Police say two online escorts have been found dead within two weeks in the same apartment complex in New Westminster, B.C.
RCMP Sgt. Jennifer Pound says Mounties are awaiting toxicology results for 45-year-old Jill Lyons, whose body was discovered in her apartment on Aug. 12.
The second escort, 48-year-old Karen Nabors, was found dead in her suite on Aug. 25.
Police say the two women knew each other and their deaths were suspicious.
Pound says police want to remind all escorts about the risks involved in their work and to take extra precautions.
She says it’s unclear at this point if such women are being targeted.
