DeHart does it again for the United Way

KELOWNA – The Maxine DeHart Drive-Thru Breakfast for the United Way keeps getting bigger and better.

The 17th annual event Thursday morning raised over $53,000 for the Central Okanagan United Way, about $13,000 more than last year’s total.

Since it’s inception in 1998, the DeHart Drive-Thru Breakfast has raised over $500,000.

This year Lake City Casino donated over $6,200 to the event.

The Valley First Credit Union sponsored fundraiser saw more that 1,200 people make a donation and pick-up breakfast bags at the Ramada Hotel in Kelowna between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m.
