Okanagan ski hills get first flakes of snow

Some Okanagan ski hills got their first dusting of snow overnight.

Silver Star Mountain Resort shared the excitement Monday morning, Sept. 18, with this photo.

Webcams at Big White Ski Resort show flakes fell there overnight as well.

Silver Star is targeting a Nov. 18 opening for nordic skiing, and Nov. 23 for alpine.

Big White is also hoping to kick off the winter ski season on Nov. 23. All dates are weather permitting.
