Crash on Salmon River Bridge in Salmon Arm

SALMON ARM – Two people were taken to hospital following a rear-end collision on the Trans Canada Highway in Salmon Arm earlier today.

RCMP say a van was driving on the Salmon River Bridge at around 11 a.m. today, Sept. 18, when it had to stop short due to an approaching pilot vehicle assisting a wide load.

The hard braking van was then hit from behind by another vehicle, according to an RCMP media release.

Police say the driver and passenger of the van were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
