KAMLOOPS – The Kamloops Blazers have acquired 20-year-old forward Tyson Ness from the Red Deer Rebels in exchange for a 3rd round WHL Bantam Draft pick in 2014.
Ness has spent the past three seasons with the Rebels. The 5’11” and 180lb forward played all 72 games last season scoring 19 times and adding 20 assists for 39 points. In three WHL preseason games with the Rebels, the Grande Prairie, AB native had four points.
“With an open 20-year-old spot we had an opportunity to acquire a quality player in Tyson Ness,” commented General Manager Craig Bonner. “He comes from a good program in Red Deer and will be a player we can play in all situations.”
