PENTICTON – A new website for the Kettle Valley Railway Trail launched this week provides a wealth of information to make it easier to plan trips on the route.
The Thompson-Okanagan Tourist Association has put together the website for the Kettle Valley Railway Trail. It provides a section on trail planning, outlying what visitors might expect along the way using an interactive map that provides information on trail conditions, in addition to showing access points.
Users merely click on a section to find out further details on that section of trail. Information provided includes such things as the type of trail surface, riding ability needed, bicycle requirements, and trail restrictions, if any.
Each section ouline provides further links that connect users with additional information about that section of the trail.
Other links are provided to trail societies and clubs where more information on the portions of trail under their stewardships can be found.
The website also has information on local festivals and events, trip planning and a blog.
FYI contains information submitted from the public and is displayed exactly as it was received. Information is clearly attributed in bylines and not created by iNFOnews.ca staff. For more information, please contact the referring organization. If you have questions about FYI, or would like to submit information to FYI, please send directly to fyi@infonews.ca.
