Blue Bombers insist they can turn it around as they prepare to face Roughriders
WINNIPEG – Blue Bombers quarterback Justin Goltz says there is a still a lot of optimism in the Winnipeg locker-room.
The Blue Bombers (1-8) face the Saskatchewan Roughriders (8-1) on Sunday in a rematch of last week’s Labour Day weekend game the Riders won 48-25.
Goltz says it’s clear Blue Bombers management is willing to do what it takes to turn the team into a winner as they scout and sign new players.
And defensive lineman Bryant Turner says they know a team in the CFL can overcome a miserable start and still make the playoffs.
Veteran CFL receiver Terrence Edwards remembers a season in Montreal that saw a strong start followed by a similar losing streak and still ended in a Grey Cup appearance.
