Okanagan man shot in Las Vegas shares how he got out alive

Stories of survival are being shared by Okanagan residents caught in the mayhem of Sunday’s mass shooting in Las Vegas.

When bullets started to fly at the outdoor country music concert, Braden Matejka and his girlfriend ran for their lives. Matejka grew up in Enderby and now lives in Lake Country.

You can read his harrowing account of what happened, including how they got out, and how he was shot, in his own words, below.

Police have said more than 50 people died and at least 515 people were injured in the shooting. It was the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
