Double stabbing near McDonald Park puts two in hospital
KAMLOOPS – Kamloops RCMP says two stabbings overnight in North Kamloops are related incidents.
Around 11:45 p.m. police responded to Campbell Avenue near McDonald Park and located two men on different parts of the street — both suffering from stab wounds.
"We believe it was a related incident," said Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Cheryl Bush. "We don't have an exact area but it was in that area."
A 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old man suffered serious stab wounds and were taken to Royal Inland Hospital. Both are undergoing surgery with one man considered stable and one who remains in critical condition.
RCMP are left with more questions than answers because any potential suspects left the area before Mounties arrived, though some evidence was recovered.
The investigation continues today, but police hope to ease the minds of the public in saying the attack was not random and the parties involved likely knew each other.
