ELECTION 2014: West Kelowna candidates finalized

WEST KELOWNA – Three candidates are confirmed for mayor of West Kelowna, including incumbent Doug Findlater.

Challenging Findlater for his job are Stephen Johnston and Mary Mandarino.

The nomination period for the Nov. 14 civic election closed at 4 p.m. on Friday.

Thirteen people are seeking one of six seats on council:
– Joanne Baker
– Jon Peter Christoff
– Jerome Chung
– Rick de Jong
– Rusty Ensign
– David Knowles
– Tanya Lister
– Rosalind Neis
– Duane Ophus
– Gary Stabb
– Mike Trenn
– Bryden Winsby
– Carol Zanon

Incumbent Julia Fraser is up against Tina Pomponio for the one Central Okanagan school board trustee position. 

There will be two days of advance voting in West Kelowna on Nov. 5 and Nov. 12 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the West Kelowna Council Chambers at 2760 Cameron Rd.

There will be four polling stations on General Election Day, Nov. 15.
– George Pringle Elementary School
– Constable Neil Bruce Middle School
– Mar Jok Elementary School
– Glenrosa Elementary School
