Downtown liquor store robbed by men armed with bear banger

KAMLOOPS – No one was hurt during a liquor store robbery in downtown Kamloops Friday night.

RCMP say two men held up the clerk at the liquor store in the Plaza Hotel at 405 Victoria St. at about 9:40 p.m. with what appeared to be a bear banger or maybe a pen style flare.

The suspects, dressed in dark clothing with their faces partially covered, got away with 5 bottles of liquor and cash from the till.

They were last seen running east down the alley behind the store.

Police says the first man is about 5’7”, 170 lbs and was wearing a black jacket, darker coloured hoodie and faded jeans.

The second man was wearing a black Under Armour hoodie with a green logo.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
