NEW YORK – The logo of the 2019 NHL draft takes its inspiration from one of its host city’s celebrated natural landmarks.
The NHL and the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday unveiled the logo for next year’s draft.
It features Vancouver’s skyline set against a mountain backdrop inspired by “The Lions” – two prominent peaks on the city’s North Shore.
The logo also uses the Canucks’ blue-and green-colour scheme.
The Canucks will host the 2019 draft at Rogers Arena from June 21-22.
Vancouver previously hosted the draft in 1990 and 2006.
