7th death confirmed in Colorado flooding after body found near hard-hit town of Lyons

BOULDER, Colo. – Officials say another person has been found dead from the Colorado floods, bringing the statewide death toll to seven.

Liz Donaghey of the county Office of Emergency Management said Thursday that the victim was found near Lyons, a small town in the foothills that was heavily damaged by floodwaters. Donaghey said no other information was immediately available.

Three other people are missing and presumed dead, all in adjacent Larimer County.

Statewide, 200 people remain unaccounted for, down from a peak of 1,200.
