The Latest: Winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Indiana

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Latest on Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing (all times local):

12:25 a.m.

A lottery official says 1 jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing.

Virginia Lottery spokesman John Hagerty tells The Associated Press the ticket was sold in Indiana.

Friday’s jackpot was worth an estimated $540 million.

An estimated $1 billion in tickets have been sold since the last jackpot-winning ticket was drawn in early March. This is the longest Mega Millions run without a winner.

Tickets are sold in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

10:20 p.m.

The winning Mega Millions numbers are white balls 8-19-20-55-73 and yellow ball 5.

The consortium of lottery organizations that runs Mega Millions says if a ticket matches all five white balls and the yellow ball Friday night, it would win a jackpot of an estimated $540 million.
