Two hurt in West Kelowna crash

WEST KELOWNA – Two people were injured when their vehicles collided in West Kelowna Sunday afternoon.

West Kelowna RCMP Const. Lesley Smith says in a media release a man who was driving a grey SUV southbound on Highway 97 crashed into a woman who was turning west onto Grizzly Avenue in a black GMC truck around 1:30 p.m., Oct. 29.

“The collision caused extensive damage to both vehicles and crews worked quickly to remove the driver of the Grey SUV who was trapped inside the crushed vehicle,” Smith says.

Both were taken to hospital for her injuries.
