RCMP arrest suspect in Kamloops apartment shooting

KAMLOOPS – Police have a 28-year-old man in custody in connection with a shooting at a Kamloops apartment building on the weekend.

A 24-year-old man was hit by a bullet fired from a neighbouring apartment in a building on Holt Street in the Brocklehurst neighbourhood on Saturday, Nov. 4.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a media release the suspect, who is known to police, was arrested “without incident” at a home in Paul Lake. The release doesn’t identify the suspect or say when he was arrested.

A 28-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Kamloops court this afternoon facing charges of robbery with a firearm, careless use of a firearm, uttering threats and several other firearm related charges.
