Overnight blaze chars building on Lunenburg, N.S., waterfront

LUNENBURG, N.S. – Fire officials are looking into what caused a fire that engulfed a building on Lunenburg, N.S.,’s waterfront overnight.

RCMP say fire crews were called to the three-storey Scotia Trawler building (on Montague Street) around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

They say it took firefighters roughly four hours to get the blaze under control.

No injuries have been reported.

Police are asking the public to stay out of the area while the investigation continues.
