VIDEO: Kamloops mayor among dancers for a cause this weekend
KAMLOOPS – Small-business owners, a lawyer, a judge – even the mayor will dance for a crowd and judging panel this weekend.
The event, inspired by popular TV show “Dancing with the Stars” will feature well-known community members from Kamloops. Royal Inland Hospital’s event “Dancing like the Stars” will take place at the Columbo Hall on Saturday.
Mayor Peter Milobar, Commodore Cafe and Lounge co-owner Dino Bernardo, Jardines Domaine owner Anthony Salituro, lawyer Cheryl Martin and others will compete in an effort to raise money for women’s breast health in Kamloops.
Attendees can expect to see a variety of dance types: jazz, foxtrot, tango and jive. The mayor is expected to tap dance.
Tickets to the black tie event are $200 (including dinner).
