
Penticton snow budget set to rise in 2018
PENTICTON – Additional streets and parking lots are adding to next year's snow and ice removal costs in Penticton.
The city’s annual snow removal budget could be on the rise from $345,000 to $359,300 in 2018.
City staff will present a revised snow and ice control policy, which includes the budget increase, to council at tomorrow’s, Nov. 21, regular meeting.
A report to council indicates changes to the policy this year include streets and parking lots added to the city’s jurisdiction including:
- Partridge Drive extension
- Timberstone Place
- Avery Place
- A parking lot and sidewalk on Nanaimo Avenue
- A parking lot at Brunswick Street and Nanaimo Avenue
