Mountain bus crash in Peru kills 12 police officers

LIMA, Peru – Peruvian police say a bus carrying officers to a work assignment plunged down a cliff in the Andes, killing 12.

National Police chief Vicente Romero says another 13 offices were injured in Tuesday’s pre-dawn accident in the province of Antabamba.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
