Treacherous Hwy 97C prompts RCMP warning
UPDATE: Dec. 28 – 1:40 p.m.
Police have issued a warning to drivers to be careful of slippery road conditions and thick fog along Hwy 97C. Motorists are reminded that posted speed limits are for ideal summer conditions and that winter driving is in full effect. Please slow down andn drive to current conditions.

Police are again out on Hwy 97C because of a rollover, this time west of the Brenda Mine onramp.
"Conditions are foggy again this morning," says Kelowna RCMP Const. Kris Clark. "Conditions are still not ideal."
Const. Clark says the accident involved a pickup truck with a canopy. Though the vehicle rolled over, it's still a minor accident. He says there's a semi-truck in the snowbank at the same location.
Yesterday, the RCMP issued a warning for drivers to slow down and respect road conditions.
Drivebc.ca issued an alert for compact snow, ice and fog for the area, also slippery sections past Bear Mountain on Hwy 33 and fog patches north of Vernon along Hwy 97.
