LIVERPOOL, United Kingdom – Canadian international forward Liam Millar has signed a new deal with Liverpool and joined Scotland’s Kilmarnock on loan for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old from Brampton, Ont., was Liverpool academy’s top scorer with 19 goals last season and has been a regular for the Reds’ under-19 and under-23 sides.
Millar has won four caps for Canada under coach John Herdman.
Kilmarnock (8-2-1) stands third in the Scottish Premier League behind leader Celtic and Rangers. Millar, who joined Liverpool in 2016, will work under former Liverpool coach Steve Clarke at the Scottish side.
