Country music star Dwight Yoakam to perform in Kamloops next year

KAMLOOPS – One of the pioneers of country music is set to perform in Kamloops next year.

Pre-sale tickets for Dwight Yoakam are set to go on sale this morning, Nov. 28, for his anticipated March performance at the Sandman Centre.

According to Ticketmaster, this is Yoakam's only B.C. stop on his tour.

Yoakam came to popularity in the early 1980s and helped pioneer the genre of country music.

According to his website, Yoakam is celebrating the 30th anniversary of hits like Guitars, Cadillacs with the release of his new bluegrass album called Swimmin' Pools, Movie Stars.

Yoakam will play the Sandman Centre on March 3, 2018.
