
Thief suspected in rash of Oliver property crimes busted
OLIVER – Police in Oliver have a suspect in custody in connection with a series of break-ins and thefts in the area.
Cpl. Chris Tarasoff says in a media release Oliver RCMP and members of the Targeted Enforcement Unit teamed up to catch a 37-year-old Oliver man on Nov. 28.
Tarasoff says the suspect was arrested for “a number of offences in relation to a rash of break and enters and thefts which occurred in the surrounding area over the last few weeks.”
Simon Bell, 37, of Oliver is facing a range of charges from theft, to possession of stolen property and fraud.
Bell is being held in custody and will be in court on Dec. 6.
