Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week

KAMLOOPS – Matti is a sweet older lady looking for a retirement home to spend her remaining days.

She was found wandering out by Knouff Lake, and was brought in to the Kamloops and District BC SPCA.

It was evident Matti had been on her own for a while as her coat was quite over grown and dirty, and she had a large tumour hanging from her chest.

The tumour was removed and she is recovering quite well in her foster home. She is getting along quite well with the other dog in the home. She also loves the older children living in the home, who love to spoil her.

Matti is 14 years old and needs lots of opportunities to go outside for bathroom breaks or have pads put down in the house to prevent accidents.

She may get anxious if left alone and would prefer someone who has plenty of time to spend with her. Her eyesight and hearing may not be the best anymore but she still has plenty of love to give.

If you are interested in meeting Matti please contact the Kamloops SPCA by phone at 250-376-7722, or email at kamloops@spca.bc.ca. Her animal ID number is 444387.
