Santana coming to Okanagan in 2018

KELOWNA – Multiple-Grammy award-winning musician Santana is bringing his Divination Tour to the Okanagan next year.

Carlos Santana has sold more than 100 million records and played for over 100 million fans at concerts around the world during a career that has spanned four decades, according to a media release.

Santana, who is currently headlining a residency at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, is coming to Kelowna’s Prospera Place on Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Santana won nine Grammys, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year, for 1999s Supernatural which included the hit single Smooth, the release says. He came in as number 15 on Rolling Stone’s list of the top 100 guitarists of all time.

Santana’s most recent project was his memoir “The Universal Tone: Bringing My Story to Light” released in the fall of 2014.

His latest album “Power of Peach” saw the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and Cindy Blackman Santana join forces with The Isley Brothers this year.

Tickets, which range in price from $49 to $125, go on sale Monday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. at www.livenation.com and www.selectyourtickets.com.
