20th annual Wildlights Festival kicks off next week

KAMLOOPS – It's that time of year again. The 20th annual Wildlights Festival at the B.C. Wildlife Park is set to kick off next week.

The park says activities — including performances by Uncle Chris the Clown, children's choirs and a trip on the miniature train — will be running from Dec. 15 to Jan. 7.

The park will be closed Christmas Day and daily hours are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the last admission at 8:30 p.m., according to a media release.

There will be light displays and several other family friendly activities from scavenger hunts to up-close encounters with some of the wildlife at the park.

Kids can visit the goats at the Home Hardware Family Farm, Santa himself, and take part in the holiday maze.

Admission rates for children are $8, for seniors $10, for adults $12 and for ages two and under there is no cost. The park also has family rates.
