More valley cloud and cool temperatures this week in the Okanagan
OKANAGAN – It looks like the valley cloud will be around for another week in the Okanagan, with daytime highs not making it above the freezing mark, and snow flurries on Friday.
Environment Canada is calling for valley cloud throughout the Okanagan this morning, Dec. 11, with a mix of sun and cloud in Kelowna and Vernon this afternoon. Expect a high around 0 Celsius and an overnight low around – 5 C.
Cloudy tomorrow, with sunshine above the valley cloud in the morning. Plan for a high of -1 C and a low of -6 C.
Across the Okanagan, forecasters expect cloudy skies on Wednesday and Thursday with a highs around -5 C and lows around -7 C.
On Friday, the weather office predicts flurries all day with a high of 0 C. Cloudy skies and a low of -2 C overnight.
The forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of flurries all weekend with highs around -2 C.
Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of -1 C and lows of -7 C.
